Op 23 juni 2017 promoveerde mw. drs. H. Vroman aan de Erasmus Universiteit te Rotterdam op het proefschrift getiteld: ‘Heterogeneity in astma; implications for dendritic cell activation?’. Het onderzoek werd verricht op de afdeling Longziekten van het Erasmus MC te Rotterdam onder begeleiding van prof. dr. R.W. Hendriks en mw. dr. M. Kool. De belangrijkste bevindingen van het proefschrift staan hieronder beschreven.
